Trainee Medicines Counter Assistant / Relief Delivery Driver

Badham Pharmacy are looking to recruit a Trainee Medicines Counter Assistant who can also provide relief Delivery Driver cover to our teams in Cheltenham and Gloucester. 

As a Trainee Medicines Counter Assistant/Relief Delivery Driver, you will need to be able to provide support at different branches (as required). From time to time you will also be required to cover holiday and unplanned absences for our Delivery Drivers.

Please note that applicants must hold a Full, Clean UK Driving Licence.

This is a full time, permanant position, working approximately 37.5 hours a week, including alternate Saturdays. 

Trainee Medicine Counter Assistant 

The medicines counter assistant is a key member of the pharmacy team. You are the first person many customers will see when coming into the pharmacy, speak to when seeking healthcare advice and interact with when collecting a prescription or ask for help when they wish to purchase a medicine.

As a medicines counter assistant (MCA) you will provide advice to patients on a range of common ailments. You will appropriately sell over-the-counter medicines to patients and handle prescriptions within the pharmacy. You will work under the supervision of a responsible pharmacist, who will always be available should you need to refer a patient or seek advice.

You will have good general retail skills, be friendly, plus enjoy providing consistent and excellent customer service

You will be enrolled on the NPA (National Pharmacy Association) Interact Course and we expect you to complete this within the first six months of your employment.

Relief Delivery Driver

Applicants must hold a Full, Clean UK Driving Licence. 

This aspect of the role involves driving a company vehicle around Cheltenham or Gloucester collecting prescriptions from our pharmacies and delivering the medication patient's homes and nursing homes. You will also pick up collections from surgeries and deliver stock between our branches, mobility shop and warehouse all whilst adhering to company Standard Operating Procedures at all times. 

You will be covering Delivery Drivers holidays, planned and unplanned absences.
