Trainee Medicines Counter Assistant

Badham Pharmacy are looking to recruit a Trainee Medicines Counter Assistant to join our team within our Stow On The Wold branch.

This is a part-time, permanant position, working approximately 25 hours a week. The successful candidate will be on a two weekly rota which will include two to three week days, and alternate Saturdays (9am to 5pm).

The medicines counter assistant is a key member of the pharmacy team. You are the first person many customers will see when coming into the pharmacy, speak to when seeking healthcare advice and interact with when collecting a prescription or ask for help when they wish to purchase a medicine.

As a medicines counter assistant (MCA) you will provide advice to patients on a range of common ailments. You will appropriately sell over-the-counter medicines to patients and handle prescriptions within the pharmacy. You will work under the supervision of a responsible pharmacist, who will always be available should you need to refer a patient or seek advice.

You will have good general retail skills, be friendly, plus enjoy providing consistent and excellent customer service

You will be enrolled on the NPA (National Pharmacy Association) Interact Course and we expect you to complete this within the first six months of your employment.
